What you say on this list is everyone's business and those who do not post 
collegially may expect to be reminded of its value.

IMHO credibility is gained by treating individuals with respect even when one 
disagrees with their point of view. In a technical list such as ports@ one is 
entitled to expect a technical response not invalid arguments ad personam.

Prove it. Either make a technical contribution or use the delete key.

My intention is not to offend but to draw attention to the need to remain on 
topic and not to argue ad personam.

If the thread is useless why are you wasting your time posting to it?
In the face of these statement Iis it not reasonable to ask if you posting for 
kicks?
