That's an archive of this mailing list so yes, people on this list are
aware of it.  As for when it will be fixed, I'm not sure - there's been
a ports freeze due to the upcoming 5.5/6.1 releases and so there's a
large backlog of updates to be applied.  Have you tried the work-around
suggested?
