HAL with new kdebase (permission problems)

Thanks everyone!!

I seem to be a few hours _behind_ the solutions of the problems I find. Should 
pay more attention to updates and UPDATING. Thanks for all the work on these 
issues!

Off to ^C my kdebase 3.5.5_1 built ... :)
