azureus does not download

Hi,

i had a working setup with azureus port 2.3.0.6 and some devil made me
upgrade to 2.4.0.2. Now I am back to the problem that everything _looks_ ok,
azureus does connect to other peers but it does not download anything. 

I have already
- upgraded swt31
- installed diablo jdk1.5
- downgraded back to 2.3.0.6
- downgraded to jdk1.4
- recompiled most of the packeges

NADA. No matter what I do, azureus does not download a single bit. What am I
missing??? Please help.
