so Now I end-up replying to myself, I should investigate stuff FIRST
and then reply :)

LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libpthread.so.1 syndigator

Makes it run, but I have no real clue how to fix it and where the
actual problem is.

- From the archives I gather that we have some very clever ports/thread
problem solvers on the list.

They might be able to shed light on it and give a little explanation
in simple terms what goes on an what piece is failing...
