I literally just applied the proposed patch to test before I approve 
it.  That and waiting for the repocopy will take some time... 
personally I don't see the need as this version is 100% back compatible 
with 2.1, unlike the 2.0 to 2.1 change which made some user-visible 
changes necessary.
