On FreeBSD 5.3-STABLE, the MySQL 4.1 port is numbered mysql-server-4.1.8a.tbz mysql-client-4.1.8a.tbz My friend, who is an expert in Linux, but not FreeBSD, told me that the "a" meant that this is alpha code. Is this correct? Seems wrong to me. Thanks, Bill Coffman
