Hello
Executive summary:
The web pages at http://www.FreeBSD.org/ports/ should, from now on,
not be more than 24 hours out of date, compared to the actual ports
collection.
"Long" version:
Since ports/INDEX stopped being committed regularly to CVS, the web
pages at http://www.FreeBSD.org/ports/ has been more or less
out-of-date all time, since they are based on INDEX. To fix this I
just changed the build script for the web pages on www.FreeBSD.org to
use the up-to-date INDEX from http://www.FreeBSD.org/ports/INDEX, so
now the ports web pages should never be more than about 24 hours
out-of-date, compared to the actual ports collection. Of course
if/when the INDEX build fails, the web pages will also not be updated,
so it can happen that the web pages are a bit more out-of-date
sometimes.
If you at some point see any problems (e.g. old information) on
http://www.FreeBSD.org/ports/, please drop a mail to www at FreeBSD.org
and I will have a look at it.
