Courier-imap port broken?

I was trying to get courier-imap working, but some of the targets like
install-configure are broken.  When I run it, I get:

cd /usr/ports/mail/courier-imap/work/courier-imap-3.0.8 && gmake
install-configure
cd: can't cd to /usr/ports/mail/courier-imap/work/courier-imap-3.0.8
*** Error code 2

Stop in /usr/ports/mail/courier-imap.

In order to get this port working, I had to screw around in the
/usr/local/etc/courier-imap and manually copy the .dist files to regular
files.
