recent port of ruby18 segfaults

Yep.  I did all of that three or so days ago.  Things were just
fine.  I cvsuped a couple of days later, and now I'm seeing the
sergfaults.

I'm going to re-checkout, in case there's some nasty lag somewhere
in the repository I'm cvsuping from...
