Because it's not in INDEX 1.384:

Try
  <http://www.freshports.org/search.php?query=mDNS>

Btw, `portlint -C' is your friend ;)

Is this a duplicate of PR 51197, or is it just the responder?

And I guess you have to include ${WRKSRC}/APPLE_LICENSE in the
package, and people have to agree to
  <http://www.opensource.apple.com/apsl/>
before dowloading.
