Gcc 3.44 on 5.2.1 and 5.3

Hi,

	trying to upgrade a few apps (xvid and mpeg4ip) that require gcc3.4.4 ( I have 
it from (121704)).  The following error occurs on both 5.2.1-p9, p11, and 5.3 RELEASE.
