Limit on number of MASTER_SITES?

I was looking at the MASTER_SITES of a port and realised that the
website offers up 45 mirrors that can be used (although not all are up
to date).  I was wondering if there's an accepted limit to how many
should be used?

So far I've got about a dozen which has let me select one or two options
from each geographic region.  Should I fill in the rest for
completeness?
