The 'cat/foo-*' doesn't work in the pkgtools.conf?

Just for interest: Does anybody out there see a situation in which one
of those makeoptions, especially the second one, results in a
significant difference? For example framedroppings when using mplayer
with runtime cpu detection but not if built without it and so on.
