The port acknowledges this, but www/mod_perl2 does not build against
    apache 2.4  Sadly, the maintainers have not released a new version
    that supports it, but there are numerous patches out there.   I've
    made one work.

How-To-Repeat:
install www/apache24
    try to build www/mod_perl2

Fix:
minor tweaks to the Makefile, see attached
