I issued (on FreeBSD 8.4-STABLE r267149 i386; ports version is: r356550) ...

 portmaster  --packages   xine gimp-app

... that ended in error I am having since about last month ...

Stop in /misc/ports/devel/libgsf.

... same error happened with gtk 2.0 port (reported to mailing list:
http://www.mail-archive.com/freebsd-ports@freebsd.org/msg58179.html).

Some of other ports were installed/updated however ...
