The gegl port fails to build on two of my systems running
FreeBSD 8-stable from early December. Systems are quad-core
systems.

I get the same error on two systems, but a thrid (running
8.2-PRERELEASE of Feb. 12) on a uniprocessor Pentium-M has no problem.
