By the way, if you want you can also remove this conditional statement :

.if defined(DMENU_CONF)
         @${ECHO_MSG} "creating config.h from ${DMENU_CONF}"
         @${CP} ${DMENU_CONF} ${WRKSRC}/config.h
.endif

It seems dmenu developers removed the config.h ..
