When trying to compile gcc* ports and you have PERL_VERSION=5.12.1 in make.conf, it will try to reinstall perl and then build gcc even if perl is already installed.
>How-To-Repeat:
compile gcc port with perl 5.12.1 installed

Remove USE_PERL5_BUILD and make it depend on perl instead
