>Description:
In the FreeBSD Ports system, there is a runtime library called Allegro, which is currently at version 4.2. There is also an Allegro development library, which is at version 4.3.

Unfortunately, Allegro 4.2 and 4.3 are incompatible (see http://allegro.cc) and packages built with 4.3 will not run on systems with 4.2 installed. Likewise, packages which were written for 4.2 cannot be compiled on 4.3.

>How-To-Repeat:

>Fix:
It is my thought that the development library for allegro should be rolled back to the 4.2 series to match the runtime library. Or, perhaps, a 4.2 version of allegro-devel could be offered along side the 4.3 edition.
