I use startx to start X11, then run e16 wm. For some time, every time I start emacs from a terminal I see:
(emacs:50055): GLib-WARNING **: In call to g_spawn_sync(), exit status of a child process was requested but SIGCHLD action was set to SIG_IGN and ECHILD was received by waitpid(), so exit status can't be returned. This is a bug in the program calling g_s pawn_sync(); either don't request the exit status, or don't set the SIGCHLD action.
I build emacs (and e16) from ports, and update mostly every week.
GNU Emacs 23.2.1
>pkg-config glib-2.0 --modversion
Rebuilt emacs recently (Nov 29) and still see the same warning.
doesn't seem to have the problem.
still does have the problem (not my init file).
Seems that there is some build configuration problem, or perhaps a bug in emacs, however other than the annoying warning all seems ok.
Not sure if this is affected by dbus...
