I had submitted a post-patch fix in PR 117289 to the gccxml port so that it will automatically create the ${WRKSRC}/GCC/gcc/config/freebsd${OSMAJOR}.h file, instead of having to create a patch file to create this file for each ${OSMAJOR}.

I noticed that the port has patch-GCC::gcc::config::freebsd8.h, this patch is no longer needed as the post-patch target overwrites the file created by the patch.
