 It was a clean install. But since there was a shared library bump in the
 base system, I've to rebuild all of my ports :( .

 How do you check for default browser ? I don't use GNOME or KDE. I use
 Xmonad, where I boot from .xinitrc. I don't have firefox executable on
 my box, instead I have firefox3. And firefox3 opens that URL just
 fine. Though padre with that diff (mailed in the PR) opens the conkeror
 (xulrunner-based) browser, but with just its homepage open, not the URL.
