System: FreeBSD freefall.freebsd.org 7.1-PRERELEASE FreeBSD 7.1-PRERELEASE #36: Mon Dec 29 15:15:30 UTC 2008 simon at freefall.freebsd.org:/usr/src/sys/i386/compile/FREEFALL i386

awesome 2.x used a traditional conf file style. The 3.x version uses LUA,
which makes 3.x incompatible with 2.x conf files. It would be nice to have
a port for awesome 2.x.

Unfortunately, I've been really slow to address this, and there have been
multiple commits for the 3.x versions. If you can repocopy
x11-wm/awesome -> x11-wm/awesome2, I'll roll them back to the 2.x states.
(I'll maintain the awesome2 port unless the awesome(3.x) maintainer wants it)
