X doesn't start on a Dell Latitude D630 laptop having 4 Gb of memory and a NVidia Quadro card when using the "nv" video driver. I'm running 7.2-STABLE. The same hardware configuration works perfectly if 2 Gb are removed from the laptop or if it boots on Mandriva Linux 2009.1 i686 (but it uses the NVidia proprietary driver). Launch X on a Dell Latitude 630 (and perhaps other machines as well) having 4 Gb with the "nv" video driver. X won't start and report that it can't determine the amount of available video memory.

Workaround: When 2 Gb are removed from the laptop, X fires up normally without any error.
