FreeBSD thoosa.dririan.com 8.0-BETA2 FreeBSD 8.0-BETA2 #1: Fri Jul 31 09:35:20 EDT 2009     dririan at thoosa.dririan.com:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/NETBOOKRIAN  i386
>Description:
When building any port that depends on python26 (ports prefixed with py26- mainly), the following occurs on configure:

[..]
checking python2.6/Python.h usability... no
checking python2.6/Python.h presence... no
checking for python2.6/Python.h... no
configure: error: Can't find python header files
===>  Script "configure" failed unexpectedly.

Yes, python26 is installed, and python2.6/Python.h does exist and is a proper C header.

thoosa# pkg_info | grep python
python26-2.6.2_1 An interpreted object-oriented programming language
thoosa# ls -l /usr/local/include/python2.6/Python.h
-r--r--r--  1 root  wheel  4384 Aug  2 03:30 /usr/local/include/python2.6/Python.h

This occurs with the current port tree as of this writing (noon EST August 2nd).
>How-To-Repeat:
Install a port that depends on python26. Ports that have explicitly failed for me are libical and py26-orbit.
>Fix:
None found. Adding -I/usr/local/include to CFLAGS does not work.
