This is a new port that enable xcb support in cairo. xcb support will be optional with cairo-1.7.x (see http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=ports/126993). Some app will need cairo with xcb support (like >=awesome-3.0) so it would be handy to have a cairo-xcb port. Could we add it when cairo-1.7.x hit the ports ?
