 One of the previous PRs I submitted for this port, ports/126373, was already 
 committed, but doesn't include all the changes in this PR.  I wanted this PR to 
 supersede that one, is there any way for someone to look into this either merge 
 the two patches or revert the previous one in favor of this one?
