>Description:
Texmaker preferences allow to use UTF-8 as default encoding, thus newly created documents will have \usepackage{ucs} in them. An attempt to complile such document will produce an error - "ucs is not installed". Manual installation of latex-ucs port will solve this issue. I suppose it should be customised at the stage of texmaker installation to add latex-ucs as a dependency to texmaker.
>How-To-Repeat:
Set UTF-8 as your encoding in Texmaker preferences, try to compile a document
>Fix:
Install latex-ucs port manually
