>Description:
pkgdb's very slow when there are more than 1000 packages. For example on my desktop machine I have 1290 packages. And because of the slowness of pkg_create and pkgdb when installing a package I have to wait very long. For example pkgdb took more than 8 hours executing and after 8 hours running it was still executing. I consider this a serious bug since the number of packages used by users increase tremendously day by day.
>How-To-Repeat:
Install 1300 freebsd packages (It's better if 20 30 % of the packages to be a large ones with a lot of files in it), then try to upgrade something from ports using portupgrade. Get to bed :|
