I don't really understand why you think your emails aren't archived
anymore.
It could be that you are confused with the the email addresses in
the automatic replies from GNATS: freebsd-ports-bugs at FreeBSD.org
is just a mailinglist, while freebsd-gnats-submit at freebsd.org and
bug-followup at freebsd.org are interfaces to GNATS. As long as the
category/pr-number is in the subject all discussions send to the
last two addresses are archived.
I have bounced your email with the patches to the GNATS system and
it was recorded, even while the synopsis had changed.
