Apply attached, uuencoded patch. (Is uuencode still prefered to Base64?)

NOTE: This port will not compile under gcc 4.2. This is known by the
code's maintainers (ISC) and they hope to have a gcc 4.2 compilable
version soon. I specified USE_GCC=.3.4, but any V3 gcc should work.
