 We should probably close this PR for now.  FSL depends on VTK5, which 
 we've postponed committing.  Another group was working on VTK5 in 
 parallel with my efforts, and we need to review both ports and decide 
 which parts of each will go into the final product.  In the meantime, 
 the FSL port and my VTK5 port will continue be available on my WEB site: 
 http://www.neuro.mcw.edu/~bacon/Ports/.  After VTK5 is committed, I'll 
 submit another FSL port.
