All attempts at building ports recursively, they just keep doing "config --check"
until they error out at 500 levels of recursion (takes a while on a U60).

eg 
> cd /usr/ports/www/apache22 
> make
or
> cd /usr/ports/devel/m4 
> make

(this was a fresh install, with a good number of packages installed.)
