This is all documented in the pkg-message:

- qemu now uses aio at least for ide dma, so if you get `Bad system call'
crashes that is because aio is not (kld)loaded.

So I'd say this one can be closed as well. (btw, does query-pr.cgi
appear broken for anyone else too?
