Under certain configurations and when replying to a message whose body is base64 encoded (as is the case for messages sent from GMail), Pine does not quote more than the first line of the message in the reply.  For example, a message that looks like this in Pine:


Date: Sat, 11 Mar 2006 19:01:10 -0800
From: A Friend <xxxxxxxx at gmail.com>
To: Michael <msa at xxxxx.com>
Subject: Hey

Hello there.
What is up, my friend?

A Friend

Notice only a single ">" --- obviously a problem.

Get a message from GMail.  Start a reply.  Notice that this behavior only exhibits itself with certain .pinerc configurations (exact configuration that triggers problem is unknown to me, however the display-filters variable must be empty).
