 Perhaps we should disable optimizations for all platforms? We could have a
 WITH_OPTIMIZED_FLAGS knob instead.
 
 BTW but unrelated, I'm getting problems with OpenGL.
 
 FWIW, If I find time I'll work on using the native iTcl next, the port was
 updated and the libraries are in the form libitcl.so.3
