I respect the change allowing a user to manually copy the vmware-server
distribution to distfiles. However, that file is 100MB, and a
significant overkill in order to retrieve the vmware tools, which _may_
be accessible to the machine via the virtual CD ROM. I'd like to
propose that the port allow for three options:
=20
(1) Mount the VMWare tools CD as is done in the VMWare Workstation
port.
(2) Copy the VMWare Server tools .tgz distribution manually to
$DISTFILES
(3) Copy the full VMWare Server distribution manually to $DISTFILES.
=20
The last option is the least preferable if either of the former two
options are available.
=20
I'm not very comfortable either with the port creation process or the
scripting itself, so I hope someone else may be interested in
implementing my suggestion.
