 Hello,

I did not realize until today that you had actually re-opened this pr. I
still do not approve this patch.

I imagine that the relevant text in the porter's handbook you are referring
to is: "Avoiding the hard-coding of /usr/local or /usr/X11R6 anywhere in th=
 e
source will make the port much more flexible and able to cater to the needs
 of other sites. "

The port is perfectly flexible and able to cater to the needs of other site=
 s
because the software provides an environment variable SBCL_HOME which
overrides the default value. This fact is documented in every reasonable
place (the manual, online, man pages, README etc.). In addition I would
recommend the user set this enviroment variable even for the default prefix
because it is known to eliminate some problems with core files.

I am interested in making this port more "plug and play" for new users, but
I will not ever approve this patch as submitted because it contains
 unnecessary files/* for FreeBSD.

 Thank you,
 Paul
