FreeBSD www.compedgeracing.com 5.4-STABLE FreeBSD 5.4-STABLE #9: Tue Oct 25 11:06:43 CDT 2005 root at www.XXXXXXX.com:/usr/src/sys/i386/compile/CUSTOM-SMP i386
>Description:
Courier Imap was installed from ports without FAM support, but FAM was installed as dependiencies to other programs. Due to security reasons we do not wish to run portmapper or FAM. Courier imap continually spams the log files with the following entries every few minutes even though the port was built without support.

Oct 29 18:32:52 www imapd: Failed to create cache file: maildirwatch (ruzzi)
Oct 29 18:32:52 www imapd: Error: Input/output error
Oct 29 18:32:52 www imapd: Check for proper operation and configuration
Oct 29 18:32:52 www imapd: of the File Access Monitor daemon (famd).
>How-To-Repeat:
Install FAM from ports then Courier-Imap without FAM support. Watch the maillog for the entries.
