 Only the check that the slave device can be opened was included, the
 rest was not (chowning/chmodding the slave device back in suidroot mode,
 using proper /dev/tty[pqrsPQRS][0-9a-v] instead of
 /dev/tty[p-z][0-9a-f], making sure the slave device is open before doing
 tcsetattr() or TIOCSWINSZ).
