ports/79046: x11/kdebase3: kcontrol is empty, no prefs dialogs

 I now found it...
 
 for some obscure reason, I had a ~/.config/menus which I hadn't created
 manually (perhaps using the GNOME control panel?). Deleting the directory
 worked. I am quite sure this directory was not created by openbox since ope=
 nbox
 has its menus elsewhere (although it is possible to include the menus from =
 the
 menus/ directory).
 
 But why can that break all KDE configuration dialogs (including Konqueror)?
 
 Well, thanks now, the problem is solved... to prevent such things from
 happening, wouldn't it be good to have a list of ALL configuration files KDE
 parses and what they are good for?
