I think this bug is not limited to 5.4 even 5.x
Not long ago, I tried the www/flashplugin-mozilla port on a 4.x box, and 
that crashed Firefox 1.x  I wrote it off to non-support for an older 
version of FreeBSD, and did not report it. But maybe that's not the problem.
