 Sorry about that nasty diff.  Here is one which is exactly the same but
 actually shorter.  The nasty diff came from working with a local copy of
 the port while this clean one was generated by starting fresh from what is
 currently in the tree.  This is the one you want.  Again, my apologies for
 the ugliness.
