>Description:
gstreamer-plugins-artsd-0.8.10_1 apparently does not work at all.

The obvious symptom is that amaroK will not play at all when trying to use the gstreamer engine with artsdsink. artsd is running, and other non-gstreamer KDE applications are able to play sound through artsd as confirmed by ear and using the ARts Control Tool/Audio Manager.

Output from: "gst-launch sinesrc ! artsdsink"
---------------------------------------------
cracker p8 0 % gst-launch sinesrc ! artsdsink

(process:21722): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: gst_object_check_uniqueness: assertion `name != NULL' failed

(process:21722): GStreamer-WARNING **: Name (null) is not unique in bin pipeline0, not adding

RUNNING pipeline ...
Execution ended after 1 iterations (sum 38000 ns, average 38000 ns, min 38000 ns, max 38000 ns).

----------------------------------------

Attempting to configure 'gstreamer-properties' to use artsdsink produces the same error message.
>How-To-Repeat:
gst-launch sinesrc ! artsdsink

(or)

attempt to run amaroK using gstreamer and the artsdsink
