System: FreeBSD 5.4-PRERELEASE #1: Sun Mar  6 13:30:52 CST 2005

>Description:

When viewing Hex or Character panes, the current "character" under the cursor is modified such that the original/1st character is appended to the end of the "character" such as:

	2E -> 2E2

	.  -> ..

but there is no "lead-in" space to the appended character so the second "2" above actually overlays the righthand side of the "E" character above.

Sometimes the overlaying character is almost exactly on top of the character being overlayed, so the appearance is kind of like a "drop shadow" affect.
