>Description:
When tried to install mplayer-0.92.0_3 port from DVD using sysinstall, installation failed and displayed the following messages on the screen:
---------------- Start of the message----------------------
Add of package mplayer-0.92.0_3 aborted, error code 1
Please check the debug screen for more info.
-----------------End of the message------------------------
I then tried to install the mplayer manually using the following steps.
I mount the DVD and then changed directory to "/cdrom/5.2.1-RELEASE/packages/multimedia".
I then used the pkg_add command to install the mplayer-0.92.0_3, using the following command:
#pkg_add mplayer-0.92.0_3.tbz
Yet again pkg_add failed and displayed the follwoing message on the screen:
---------------- Start of the message----------------------
pkg_add: could not find package win32-codecs-2.0.90_1,1 !
-----------------End of the message------------------------
The above error message indicates that there is a file dependency is not included in the above port.
>How-To-Repeat:
Use FreeBsd 5.2.1 DVD, and try to install mplayer-0.92.0_3.
