>Description:
There are a bunch of bugs: passdb.tdb doesn't create automatically, when
hide unreadable = yes, access denied to directory with permissions 0700 and
user is not in admin users = ... list, and MOSTLY BUG -
when exist smb.conf.username cannot see username in shares list as home directory
>How-To-Repeat:
1. Install Samba, select passdb backend = tdbsam, set debug = 10, try to use,
check on "Failed to open TDB database..." in logs, see passdb.tdb with zero
length
2. Set hide unreadable = yes, delete smb.conf.username, when exists, create
directory with permissions 0700 and login from another Samba/Windows as
user username - you'll cannot see created directory
3. Add include file = .../smb.conf.%U in smb.conf and create smb.conf.username
(even zero length), login s user username - you'll cannot see username in shares
list (as home directory). Delete smb.conf.username and restart Samba - now you'll
see it.
>Fix:
hide unreadable = no
rm -f smb.conf.*
tdbtool for manually creating TDB files
pkg_delete Samba-3.0.3 and install Samba-2.2.8a :-)
