 i mailed the author of the gkrellm2 version again and requested that
 he changes the name of the archive to something different from the
 version for gkrellm1.
 if i don't get a positive answer, i'll look into this again this
 weekend (in 3 days) to see if i can either
  1) compile for both gkrellm versions with the new archive  or
  2) use the original archive for the new port, and apply the necessary
     patches through the ports building mechanism
