>Description:

Whenenver kword (of editors/koffice-kde3) is asked to save a new file, or save as it crashes with the following message in the KDE crash handler:

1. The problem caused a signal SIGSEGV.

2. The following traces are available:

(no debugging symbols found)...(no debugging symbols found)...
[Many lines...]

[Switching to Process 778, Thread 1]
0x290bc883 in poll () from /usr/lib/libc.so.5
#0 0x290bc883 in poll () from /usr/lib/libc.so.5
#1 0x28795651 in _thread_kern_sched_state_unlock () from /usr/lib/libc_r.so.5
#2 0x28795050 in _thread_kern_scheduler () from /usr/lib/libc_r.so.5

The only way of saving a file is to have a kword file (of kword type),
update it and save it under the same name.

>How-To-Repeat:
It comes each time.

>Fix:

I'v searched for information, and there are mail reporting
crashes. There was no report at KDE homepage, but I have now entered
my report.

 one with 4.8-RELEASE-p13.

On both systems, all programs and libraries are installed through
"world" or ports. On both systems, all programs are kept up to date
with ports. On both systems both gettext-0.12.1 (devel/gettext-old)
and gettext-0.13 (devel/gettext) have been tested without difference.
